;D ;D ;D Haven't had a chance to show you guys our new "PoNee" horse yet - this is Saint's Genuine Shine aka "Cash". He's by Mr. Genuine Shine out of Sheeza Saint (S.May will love that name, I'm sure). Grandy PoNee had better be on his BEST solid Paint That Ain't behavior!! Just Kidding, Fat Boy.Actually, he belongs to a family member of the boss and has done team penning and had some recent training with a cutting trainer, after a brief career as a halter horse as a youngster (he does have points), and an even shorter career as a Poppa (he's cut now). He's hanging around our place while he's up for sale. It's so cool to watch him being ridden - he even knows how to do that thing where they spin around on their hind end in a circle - whatever that is called and whatever its for!! (PLEASE excuse his feet!! The barn farrier seems to have dropped off the planet - yet again!)

Too bad I already got another horse. My Paint gelding needs another Paint around so he knows that he isn't the only "spotted" horse out there! I think that's why he rolls in the mud. To make himself look like a solid colored horse!

Is he what's called a tri-colour paint? Those are my favourites. They're such a neat colour. He looks very nicely put together, too.

I could definately see myself getting back into the western show ring with him LOL. just out of curiosity(sp) what are they asking for him???...if I found a guy like that ere I would have to get a job fast topay him off LOL....Tango would love him

Wowza wowza WOWZA!!! He is DROP DEAD gorgeous and I don't car what the rest of you'ins say! I want him too! Can I trade several bland looking horses for him? And a short donkey with curly feet? Huh? Can I?!
He really is beeeeeeeeUtiful! And he looks sweet too:) Of course the first time he spun on those darn dimes under me I'd fall off LOL But then, maybe if he did it FAST enough he'd just spin around and land right under me again?

What do the other horses think of this horse of a different color? :sun: Do they seem to notice that he doesn't look like them? Linda

Keely, When do we get to see a photo of you riding his spin? I figure you've had all winter to practice, in between being CANTER volunteer extraordinaire and taking care of a mind boggling menagerie, and other misc. barn chores. His dam's sire is the sire of my stud, Max, which is one of the nicest riding horses I've had. Getting ready to go ride him bareback in the moonlight, having finished all chores for the evening. Cash is a pretty boy! and in technicolor.

He is a purty boy, isn't he? And he's SOOO well-behaved and super light-mouthed. I was watching them riding him and you can 'lope' (it's called LOPE when it's a PoNee, right??) in a circle, and by just lifting your pinky finger up a notch he'll circle smaller and stay there, then lift again and he'll go tighter again, etc. You couldn't even SEE most of the cue they were giving him, he had to tell us what they were as he was giving them.
And is it really just called a "spin"? What's the purpose/reason? (Seriously wondering, have no clue!!)
They are asking $6800 for him, haven't really started advertising him yet.
The other horses don't really seem to notice him, unlike when I had Vida's snow white Vancey Pants here - THAT caused a huge ruckus the first (and 2nd, and 3rd) time I brought him out and he had to go past the paddocks with the others. I've seen lesser reactions from PoNee's encountering their first ostrich!
