Not all uveitis is recurrent. That yearling filly probably doesn't have recurrent uveitis. I had a yearling colt diagnosed by the ever-incorrect CSU with recurrent uveitis "he'll be blind before he's six". Treatment was good, diagnosis was faulty. I finally hired an opthomologist who came out. He had left CSU a couple of weeks before I took my colt in. He had been head of the department. He set it all straight - not recurrent and no damage and nothing to worry about. That was in 1997 or 1998 and there has been no further problem whatsoever.
Recurrent uveitis is quite serious, though. There has been a lot of progress made in the treatment and management of recurrent uveitis and there is a lot of positive news in the treatments.
Good luck!
