Okay, y'all're sick of winter, right? Well, lets start thinking about ROLEX! Gonna be warm and sunny. Gonna be great horses everywhere you look. Gonna be breeches and boots at greatly reduced prices under the big tent. Gonna be toated marshmallows at Zen~n~SMay's RV Camporee. ;D

Yes Ad! Great idea and lets think positvely! But....cough cough...wasn't it last year that tornado like weather ripped through here during the Rolex Hey! No one mentioned SHOPPING!!! Who knew you could do that too. Now, I haven't owned a pair of breeches in 13 years. Come to think of it I only have one pair of jeans now I don't think they make pants in my size anymore, least of all squeezy stretchy ones that cling!!! So, Laura...you coming for Rolex? I might just have to buy a new tent. That would be fun ;D Of course Joe would kill me and then there I'd be at the ROlex with you'ins, and me dead inside my new tent....hmmmm......

Last year it was cold and raining and then we had a tornado! hahaha! So actually that curse has now blessed the upcoming year's event, cause that could NOT happen again!!!!! COuld it? Remember how HOT we were in .... 2000 Zen Rider? Boiling in the sun watching stadium and all the PIGS blocking our view. No shade, no seats, no room. I have a better plan for this year and it involves cattle prods.

Yup tornados one night, Severe lightning storm and more tornados the next. Sunday morning, they were still reporting tornados south of Lexington. But then the sun came out and all was good. OK, good and muddy. I was alone for Saturday nights storm, cause you and Jamie bailed. Don't blame you really, especially after Friday nights storm. Spent the evening in the back of my K-5 watching my little bitty TV. Armagedon was on with Bruce Willis. Oh, and I got some good deals at the Rolex tent at the end of the day Sunday, so that was cool. Oh, AND, I got my Rolex hat signed by Karen and David O'Connor. ;D Don't be discouraged folks, because so far, most of the Rolex's I've gone to have had decent weather. Let's see 2000, wasn't that the year it was 70's during the day, but frost over night? Brrr and Ahhhh And yes, there were some rude people there too. Gonna happen in a crowd. Was jealous of that couple that could afford on the last day to upgrade their tickets to sit in the priviledged area. I have no doubt, they made those people pay full price for that. Last year I didn't see much point to that, seems every year that area is getting to be nearly as crowded as the regular people side. Any way, I like the pics I got at the warm up and the entry aisle.

Lynne their is no end to the shopping! OK, depending on your bank account. ;D Some of the stores are a bit pricey, but many are wheeling and dealing. ;D What's really great is you can try on stuff, even if you are not ready to buy at the time. Which is great for me, cause I can't buy boots or shoes without trying them on first, cause like Zen with saddles, I'm not always an easy fit. Adcooper will direct you to Elizabeth G's for some awesome breeches that fit human beings! All in all, the prices aren't too bad either. One of the stores was selling Weatherbeeta saddle pads for $15. They did that the year before too, but I think they brought more pads last year and still sold out.

where did you and Jamie buy those really nice padded leather halters for $25 or $20 or something? I'd like to get one or two of those. There's nothing else I want except a real sheepskin saddle pad but that's a pure luxury. They were going for $79 at the Equus Now sale this past weekend, should I have purchased one? I didn't. Who needs it when you can't even RIDE. I also just blew out my only good pair of paddock boots. Maybe need a new pair of those. I didn't know that Jamie left Saturday too... she had enough huh? I would have stayed through anything except I always have Caroline with me everywhere I go...and the kid can't take as much punishment as you and I. She really loved those Prince Philip Pony Club Games though.... we watched every minute of THAT. And right behind us was Parelli working his black QH stud with his patented neck strap. It was funny cause most of the Rolex crowd didn't really know who he was!

KC and her mom, Lani, Julie, and I will be staying in our trailers, maybe a few others as well. The trailers will feel so light going down there without all the typical event accoutrements! And we'll have so much room to bring [glow=red,2,300]STUFF[/glow] back. :hahaha:

Yes, Niaru, you must come to Kentucky with us. SMay, I don't remember the name of the place, but I do remember they are a local place. They were doing halter plates for $5 too. ;D I didn't buy a halter, but Jamie did. It was pretty nice too.
