Chosen By A Horse by Susan Richards
O-M-G! What an inspiring book this is! I must have finished it within days, I just couldn't put it down.
Its about a lady who grew up having a hard childhood and how an older Standardbred Broodmare she rescued, ended up rescuing her emotionally.
I highly recommend this book.

I read this book too, fancy and I liked it a lot. I gave it to one of our pony club kids on her birthday because it's so sweet. Isn't it called Chosen by a Horse?
OK I just checked and Chosen Forever is the follow-up story to Richards' book Chosen by a Horse! Did you read the first one Fancy? It's where she got the STB mare Lay Me Down, and "saved" her. I really liked it, so I bet I'd like the follow up.

I read Chosen By A Horse last year, and thought it was going to be a typical cheesy type rescue blah blah blah story. I was really surprised at how much I liked it and was really touched in the end.
I have a copy of it (someone gave me another one) if anyone wants it, I'd be more then happy to mail it out.

The author sent me this to read and review before it came out, but I haven't had two seconds to read it, how sad is that!? Glad to hear it is worth the read!

I read this book last year, right before I got Steel actually. I really enjoyed it and I didn't know there was a follow up. I will have to check it out.

I am almost done reading her Part II Forever Chosen and its pretty good as well, but its more focused on her book tour and moving on with her life. She finally met a guy, lost all her horses and she does talk a bit about them. I also recomend the second book.
