****contact Barb @ (412) 225-2003 for her sister's contact info in NJ****
Opening Wager is a 2002 chestnut gelding that eyeballs 16.2 - 16.3 with feet in need of a trim. He does not crib, weave or stall walk.
Wager is currently being used as an outriding pony in the morning and a lead pony at night. While he is good at his job and fun to ride, his owner/trainer states that Wager does not care for the siren - the horn that goes off to alert other riders when a horse gets loose on the racetrack. Owner/trainer says he on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being hottest and 1 comatose he is about a 4 - fun to ride but not so dead you have to kick him along with every stride. He has been ridden by different pony people and even an inexperienced 16 yo on the track with no issues.
Owner trainer says that Wager would be an excellent event or hunter/jumper prospect. Big engine, nice shoulder. In his previous life he was a successful racehorse, winning a stakes race at 2.
Current owner does not have papers (had no need for them) but they could probably be retrieved from previous owner thru the current owner. IOW - if you like the horse but want the papers to come with him, ask Barb if she can get them for you. She is very motivated to sell him as she has too many horses & not enough stalls.

Notable sport horse names in his pedigree include Farma Way (Diplomat Way), Tom Rolfe (Ribot), Little Current (Sea Bird, My Babu), and Olden Times, among others.
There are special circumstances concerning the sale of this horse - for more details email Jessi at Jpizzurro@comcast.net .
Priced at $1500. Located at MNR park - zip 26050.
