Just wanted to mention a book I just finished reading. It is the second in "The Great Horse Trilogy" by John Royce. WONDERFUL book. I already mentioned the first one a while ago (Eclipsed by Shadow) and this one "The Golden Spark" is just as good. I was lucky enough to get asked to be a pre-reader by Mr Royce after reading his first book, how cool!! He helped feed my addiction to this series. ;D
In case anyone is looking for a gift for the teen reader they would love this series as well. Just a fun, well-written read for us adults or the teens. Not to give away too much but the series follows a horse crazy 21st century teenage girl who finds out her horse is one of the "great horses' of history. The legend is that each period of history has its own great horse and the teen heroine ends up going through history finding each periods great horse. So you get a historical read as well as a fun one. Definitely recommend it.
But now I have to wait for the next book to come out, ack...!!!!
