Book 2 got a lot better. Now onto book 3! Thank goodness my neighbor has all 4 books, I don't know if I would be able to wait to keep reading them.

Boo is upset that he wasn't asked to audition for the part of Jacob.... he has been rehearsing with his tennis ball. Sigh.

Haha another Twilight addict I haven't met one person who once they started could put them down. Everyone loves them!

Another one here who loved these books!
Really liked the 3rd!!
Felt the 4th was rushed and all jumbled together - probably would have been better to make 2 books of it and expand on BOTH of the major things going on (hmmm is that cryptic enough!)
The movie was reportedly MUCH better for those of us who understood the background story - the ones who only watched the movie said it was really kind of goofy. Can't wait to see the next one!

Sigh. No, I couldn't put them down. In fact I got the last one as a hardback, because I needed to know whether she went through with it ...
Sigh.

I finally broke down and read these. I was ho-hum about the first one, but thought the others were much better. I really liked the fourth in particular. They are definitely page-turners, which is exactly what I wanted since I read the first two on the airplane, hoping to make the most of my time wasted on unpleasant travel for business. I did catch the movie on cable last week...and was not impressed. The Bella-Edward scenes seemed very stiff to me. I think the fourth book would make the best movie ;D

I just read them all again, since New Moon the movie comes out in a few weeks! Counting down the days Hopefully it will be better than the first. The previews are awesome. I was really resistant to reading these, I thought they were just a fad and silly, but now I'm totally a convert, lol! Elizabeth- I agree with you on the Bella-Edward scenes. I think Kristen Stewart cannot act- I just felt like there was no passion on her part especially, and Bella is so passionately in love with Edward she is willing to give up her life for him.... I just don't get that from the movie. Like I said, hopefully the next one will be better!

Ok, so I finally started reading these. After much avoidance on my part, there was nothing else I could find in town to read so I picked up the first book. I read it in a day easily and bought the second book and the first movie the next day.
I have to agree with everything that Samantha said. The first movie SUCKED. OMG, it was awful and if someone had not read the books first, I dont' know how they could make it through it without being lost. The Bella girl in the movie has no emotion or intensity and just can't act. She's so awful it's not even funny.
The 2nd book I wasn't as crazy about but that's because to me Edward is the interesting character and he's not in it the majority of the time. I'm going to go today and get the last two books to read. I'm hoping that the 2nd movie is better. In the trailers it does look better and a bit more accurate.
Will update once I have read the other 2. I can't wait to read it from Edward's point of view.

RR- you are going to love the last 2 books!! Edward is fantastic. I'm madly in love with him and I will admit to owning a Team Edward t-shirt. Yes, I know, I am a dork. The 2nd movie is tremendously better than the first. Every aspect of it is better than the first. I'm counting down till Eclipse comes out! You have to read Midnight Sun- it is an unfinished draft posted on Stephenie Meyers' website- it is Twilight from Edward's point of view. It is awesome! www.stepheniemeyer.com/pdf/midnightsun_partial_draft4.pdfWhoops- didn't realize you knew about Midnight Sun already. It is so good I get very excited talking about Twilight, if you can't tell.

They were out of the books in town so I had to order from Amazon and wait. *sigh* Not too terribly sad because it gives me time to read the Midnight Sun draft, which I heart. There are so many reasons why I love Edward's version, but I have to admit that one of the main reason is because I love Alice's character and I crack up every time I read "Can I talk to Bella now??". I hope the author hurries and finishes the whole series from Edward's side. I would love to know how his try at being a tracker went and what he did while away from Bella.
Bella in the 1st movie is whiney and lifeless; Bella in the books is interesting and bold. I dont' understand how the director or author could have let that fact go unnoticed. I will watch the 2nd movie when it comes out on DVD, but just not in a rush to watch it as I want to finish up the books first.
So I'm off to finish up Midnight Sun, then wait rather impatiently for my shipment from Amazon..lol. Thanks for posting these Samantha!

Yay Goalie- Team Edward!!!!!!!! My mom got me a Twilight clock for Chanukah- what a riot. I have it in my cubicle at work. RR- I don't think Stephenie Meyers has any plans on finish Midnight Sun, which is seriously unfortunate. Check out her website and you can see her thoughts on the matter. I TOTALLY agree about Bella in the first movie. She is better in the 2nd, but she is nothing like the Bella in the books. I told my friends I could play a better Bella- I'm madly in love with Edward and am almost as clumsy as she is
