Smay is a perfect willow. If I lose ten pounds I will be too! Okay...my willow days might be over, but I could still lose ten pounds. I wish I had never bought that blasted scale.

Nuh UH, Adcooper. Not no more. I feel as fat as a blimp lately. It's majikal how you turn 50 and suddenly, you get fat! What's up with that? ***off to order me some spanky pants, or whatever those things are called...**
Enola - 130 is skinny. Don't worry about it. I'm 5'9" but shrinking.

I am quietly going to announce that it has been almost 4 years since I quit smoking, I gained weight and now I can finally get back into the jeans I wore when I was smoking. Phew. I am happy, but now am determined to lose some more.

I am 5'5" and 130. I don't consider myself skinny, actually, I just have more muscles than fat. Megan is always threatening to 'fatten' me up ! Goalie ! Congratulations ! You have a lot to be greatful for then, 4 years is a long time to remain true to a conviction to quit smoking. Keep up the good work.

I once was pencil thin, but worked at it diligently. Now that I'm pushing nearly 60 years I've learned to accept the portly grandmotherly mode. You all deserve to brag on your weight losses!!!! It's not easy....

Wow, congrats Gemic!
And Goalie, good for you. I wish Hubby could stick with quitting...he quits for 3 years, then starts smoking again, then quits for a year, then starts again...*sigh*

Damn damn, double-damn, two Hells and a bugger (as my mother would have said...)
NOW you've made me weigh myself (DD-Dd-2XH + a B)
And I'm only 5'4". I THOUGHT those jeans were feeling a bit tight...
But the SPANKS. Oh really.

O.K. so I've avoided this whole section because I'm not on a diet . I just lurk. However, I've actually been getting more exercise and cutting back on eating so that I'm finally down a size. One more to go, possibly. I just haven't made it a deal and it's taken me since Oct going really easy to drop a size. I just couldn't make it an issue or I'd fail. But . . . you guys would probably be surprised at how much I weigh compared to what you are listing. It remined me of a Tyra Banks show where women dressed in leotards and held signs showinig their weight. So . . . . on that line of thought this is when I began. This is what 165 looks like on me. Squeezing in size 12 and thinking size 14 would be a better fit. 160, lost a little in the face, but that's it. Size 12's now at least fitting. The scarf on my waist was a BAD idea. Who needed another layer! Good from the back with the bow, awful for the front . Back to size 10 and weighing 155. Yep. 155. 140 here I come! Gasp! My former normal size 8 ever again? Don't know. I'm not in a huge hurry. I just like being able to zip my half chaps and get tired of doing all the photo tricks to not look my weight -chin up - hide partly behind my DH, you know . . . Oh. I'm 5'7"

You guys are all awsome and have been inspiring. I didn't have it in me to come out of the closet and push more than I did.

Good for you.Luci! You look faaaabulllousss darling! I just found that basically cutting way back on carbs is doing it for me. So now my weight loss has slowed down now that I have introduced some carbs back but I'm happy as can be on my diet! ;D

I'm really excited for the day I am cleared for exercise by my doctor. I was really, really worried about taking off baby weight. But so far since I had Hannah I have gone from 185 pounds down to 158 pounds. So it must have been a lot of water weight. Plus when I was carrying her I felt like I was constantly hungry. Now, not so much. In fact I noticed more of a craving for fruit and yogart type snacks. Bonus! Can't wait to ride again!

Jen, it will drop quickly, especially if you are nursing. Kind of a shock at first, though, wasn't it. I was so clueless with my first one that I packed my regular non-maternity size 10s when I went to the hospital and was mortified that I couldn't wear them home the next day!
