really stressed out lately. And now my stomach has turned upside down, so to speak. I am in need of some really bland-meals ideas. Besides chicken broth

Oatmeal with banana
Mashed potatoes (watch the butter!)
Plain pasta, maybe with a little parmesan for flavor
Rice!

Well, I had a chicken and corn chowder the other day. The taste was on the bland side, but it's not "light" the same way a piece of toast is when you're sick. Let me know if you want the recipe.

What about a chicken ala King like dinner. Soft veggies, peas and mushrooms in a white gravy with some chicken cut up. Are tired of chicken?

Thanks, I am going to make some rice using chicken broth and perhaps a few pieces of chicken in it. I hope to be better soon

Thanks Deb, I am actually feeling much better. Went out over the weekend with the horses and that helped then did some thinking and decided to let go of all of what was bothering me. It's so hard to do but I realized it was making me really sick.
That and watching what I am eating. No real fatty foods.

Glad to hear your feeling better, Brooks. It is difficult to "let go" of things that are bringing us down...

I've been eating vegetables a lot this summer, and I find now the heavier, denser foods like steak and such, just don't seem right. I"m happy with rice and a couple of vegetables most days. Hard to believe. The stuff is easy to digest too, its filling, without that overstuffed feeling. You might try that for a few days. Carrots, corn, green beans, cauliflower, summer squash, butternut squash, brussels sprouts, cabbage and potatoes. I steam most of the veggies, and use a pressure cooker for the cabbage, potatoes, and squash.

No Sarafina it's the lower intestine thing. But it seems much better now
DebbieH I like that idea. I will remember that next time I'm at the store.
