Oooh, Niaru! ;D Those POOR kids ... I bet they're 'bi-lingual'. Speak 'American' at school and 'English' at home. You need to tell your friend that we eat MacDonalds in the regular way over here now! Oh, Ann - he makes a living doing voice-overs, no WAY does he out-class YOU. (I think he's trying to be Donald Sindon - and failing ... ) Hi-jacking my own thread - I'm recruiting for a voice over artist at the moment (no, no, for a 'Baby Weaning' DVD, nothing exciting.) What with British regional accents and our infamous 'class' system, it's a pigging nightmare! For the marketing people out there, add to that the demographics of the product - and I'm tearing my hair out. Condescending, Ann, she must NOT be. I feel like Goldilocks .. "Hmm, that one's too HARD, that one's too soft, that one's too northern, that one's too southern..." Good idea - why don't I use an American accent and then no-one here will be able to 'classify' her! Lynne I'm going to get you the daemon questions by hook ...

Oh, choose me! Choose me! I have an authentic American accent and I read aloud to young parents (actually, to their children) for a living. Will I get to have a dressing room? And a personal assistant? And a make-up artist? And a voice coach? At last...my glorious career. Modified to say....Sorry. I got carried away. Now my rabbit is intimidated by Lynne's leopard. I'm going to hide in my burrow.

Mine is Aeschylus, a male spider. Which I find HIGHLY ironic, because I absolutely hate spiders! I'd probably squish him before we got to be properly introduced!
The description seems accurate for me though: spontaneous, inquisitive, modest.
