It was great, Sarah, but it's too expensive to mail stuff. I have an Oxfam shop just around the corner - I shall go there tomorrow!
See you soon! B

Barbara Kingsolver's novel, Animal Dreams.
Something by Anne Tyler: Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant, or Breathing Lessons.
Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress, Dai Sijie
All the Days and Nights, William Maxwell. (I'm going to keep recommending this until someone reads it. For some reason I cannot stop reading "The Blue Finch of Arabia," one of the stories, and I need someone else to tell me why! Go ahead, B, analyze that.)

Trying a few of the ones you listed Ann. I think ( ) I read Breathing Lessons and didn't dig it though maybe I'm confusing it with another book......maybe one by....What WAS her name...?.....I really liked her for a while.... Never mind.....can't remember her name.....and I used to dig her. Hmmmmm

Breathing Lessons begins with a married couple who sneak off during a memorial gathering to... um... do what people sneak off to do. I think that's the one. It's been so long since I read it. This book recommending is very dangerous when you've read and forgotten as many books as I have!

No way! Five cents?! Wonder if it will have a cover. Or pages. Let me know! I'll gladly reimburse you the cost of the book...if you actually get a book!
