I'm sure you saw that he broke down in the classic. He was out of an Alysheba mare just like Blue, so I had followed his career pretty closely.
I was deeply disturbed that they elected to bring him out of retirement to once again try dirt. He was a turf horse through and through and last year's classic should have told them that. While I love the sport of racing, his death was one of those that makes me very conflicted over it.
