Here's one of the maniacs after being horribly confined in a STALL for ONE WHOLE DAY... sure was nice to see the sun shine today! But the horses were NUTS. Winny practicing his rollbacks.

I can just HEAR the snorting and the pounding hooves! Winny has such a handsome face. Don't you just have to kiss him all the time?

Are you kidding? I practically can't get ANYTHING done in the barn after work because of Mr. Kissin' Winny. He is the biggest lover on earth, and has to CONSTANTLY love on people who are in his stall...he snortles in your ear, and lips around your collar and tries to lift off your hat. His favorite thing in the world is to have you blow in his nose...I know horses use that to identfy each other, but Winny just loves for people to do it. He will NOT leave you alone until you spend at least five or ten minutes blowing on his nose, rubbing his jaw and scratching his neck. If all else fails, he just stands as close as he can get to you, and kind of LEANS his head on you in hopes of some lovin' He is SUCH a character, because he only just discovered that he likes all this. He used to be kind of race-horsey, standoffish. He would stand quietly and look at everything, but never actually ASK for the lovin!

I flat out adore your herd ;D ! They are so truly beautiful. Geesh.....picture perfect and then add the snow and really even put them in a picture! What more could a person want! Teddy is so so so black! Your description of Winny is so similar to the Buttwiper! He does that nibble and nose and take of the hat and chew on your pockets thing. AND he isn't way too huge on blowing on his nose BUT he loves it if you'll just stuff one or two fingers up his nostrils and jiggle 'em around! Now what kind of twisted owner would even KNOW that?! Joe came home early today and let mine out for the first time (literally ) in FIVE DAYS! I really wanted to be here to do it cause I wanted to get pics to but the sooner the better....Anyway, he said it was just as well I didn't see it or I would never ride Cobie again. He said he ran back and forth across the pasture on his back legs and then would buck when he turned at the ends for his next pass! They are still nuts even now but have settled down to squealing..... Great pics. Thanks for sharing!

What a perdy herdy! I want to know how you get those boys to pose so nicely?? I envy your wonderful photographic skills - were you using your sooper dooper telephoto fancy smancy camera? It seems as soon as I get out with my camera, my guys all come crowding around and I can't keep them far enough away to get anything better than a big moose head here, or a gargantuan butt there. If I try to shoot from far away I get ugly background clutter (at my neighbors, anyway! shhhhhh!!) Teddy certainly has a regal air to him, and little Twister has a beautiful little head on him, but I just LOFF big ol' loverboy, Winny - he's da MAN!! Glad your boys are staying healthy
