Please feel free to be the first to post. Our other greyhound board didn't have a whole lot of action, so we are hoping that fellow exracing greyhound enthusiasts will find this forum and enjoy building an online community showing that The Finish Line Is Just The Beginning for these deserving pooches!
Welcome aboard!

you know why? Cause I just had a ball watching the Westminster Dog Show and watching all the doggies competing for best in show, best in class, and best in show - which was won by a Kerry Blue Terrier, a doll doggie.... I MOST enjoyed the hound group, wherein we saw a lovely greyhound and all his cousins-in-kind - the Borzoi, the Saluki, the Deerhound, the Italian Greyhound, the Whippet, all those very cool, bouncy and skinny-headed doggies! I LOFF those doggies! Even my husband who has NO USE for doggies, noted that a greyhound would be such a cool pet to have.

SMay you just wanted to be the first to post here didn't ya!!! There's just no keeping you in your box is there. Now get back over to where you belong and stop bothering all these poor doggy folks. Behave yourself please... have some decorum, REALLY. Apologies doggy folks, we'll try and keep our horsey peeps under control from now on!

My brother would desparately love to! Unfortunately his house seems a little full at the moment He would so bond to one and it would be such a perfect match for both of them! I've met so many greyhound adopted dogs......So very smart....so very wonderful! I wonder if anyone does rescue in my area? I'll have to look it up. I'd foster those in a second if I thought they could survive the chaos for a moment!

SHe was the best dog I ever had. We adopted her as a 4 year old. Didn't take her any time at all to get potty trained, and of course she was already impecably trained on the leash. She was black with a white chest and 4 white paws. She came with the name Marty - I think her racing name was Marti Gra (sp?) But we changed her name to Hannah. Anyway, I wish my story had a happier ending though, becuse while I was in another stare, my mom took her back - we had had her for almost a year then - because she atacked a Dautsan puppy. The pup lived, but I guess my mom was afraid the owners would make us put Hannah down. The moral of the story - always ALWAYS put a muzzle on your grayhound when taking for walks.
