Slim Jim and I had another show yesterday and did pretty well. We are staying consistent and placing in every class, though for whatever reason I cannot get my act together in the hunter classes so our over-fences placings are all around 4th place. But he got second in the hack for the second week in a row. Not sure how that happened! He is a decent mover but not spectacular at the trot...I try to just show off his nice rhythm and beautiful canter, and his good manners. I figure he might get a few points for being a very good boy and super easy to ride in groups. I splurged and bought 3 pro photos from this show. All I have from shows is video that DH shoots (which I love, but I want something to put on the wall too!). For once there were some good photos not going over a fence as well, so I got those for variety. Oxer towards the in-gate (note the rather short rein here, ha ha) Cantering around a corner on course: Leaving the ring...good boy, good boy

Congratulations, Elizabeth! If all your fences look like your first pic, you must be up against some stiff competition to only be getting fourths. He looks terrific - great style and presence!

Well Teach, the competition is pretty good in our B circuit, but he is not placing higher because of me...I am making just enough small mistakes to drop us down a bit in the placings...a deep distance here and there, a little off the pace into a jump or two, stuff like that. He does have a lovely style and a fantastic canter, so he has it in him to do really well! It is just me holding him back On the other hand, we have placed first or second in every equitation class so I know I am capable of laying down a good trip. I just have to do it more than once per day LOL. I am doing an A rated show next week, so hopefully I will be able to put it all together for him.

Jim is just so stinking handsome. I love the bling fore (that star!) and aft (that tail!) You guys look great - that first pic is a really pretty jump. Good luck next weekend!
